What's New for 2021?

The new 2021 Jeep Gladiator gains several new features in 2021. First, the Gladiator has a new engine option for Harrisburg drivers. This option is a turbodiesel V6 known as the EcoDiesel. The Selec-Trac full-time 4WD system is now available on all models. The Sport trim is now available with LED headlights while the Rubicon model gains improved AWD capabilities. The Overland model gains Grille-mounted off-road camera. The Gladiator also gets two new models, the retro-inspired Willys trim level and an 80th Anniversary Special edition.

Engine, Transmission, & Performance

Buyers across Mechanicsburg have two powertrains to choose from in the 2021 Jeep Gladiator. Standard is a 3.6-liter naturally aspirated V6 that delivers 285 pound-feet of torque. The 3.6-liter V6 engine can be paired with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. The acceleration time for Gladiators with this engine varies from one powertrain to another. The Jeep Gladiator Sport with six-speed manual transmission covers 0-60 miles-per-hour in 7.9 seconds while the automatic-equipped Gladiator takes 8.1 seconds.

The fuel economy for the manual powertrain is EPA-rated at 16/23 miles-per-gallon city/highway. On the other hand, the fuel economy for the automatic powertrain is EPA-rated at 17/22 miles-per-gallon. Next is a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 that is only available with the eight-speed automatic transmission. The turbodiesel delivers 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque.
